NT: Man wanted on nine attacks against women
Northern Territory police are hunting a man wanted over at least nine attacks on women
in Darwin in 10 days.
All of the assaults have occurred in the Nightfall and Coconut Grove areas .. and involved
a man riding a bicycle.
In the most serious incident .. a 35-year-old woman was raped in the grounds of the
Casuarina Senior College about 10 o'clock on Monday night .. by a man who grabbed hold
of her bag from the back of her bike as she rode home.
Acting Superintendent SCOTT POLLOCK says the woman pursued the man .. who stopped and
punched her in the face and sexually assaulted her.
He's urged women not to retaliate.
The attacker's described as aged between 16 and 20 .. of indigenous appearance .. with
brown eyes .. dark short curly hair and about 175cm tall.
