WA: Prison inmate dies five months before release
A coroner's inquest will be held following the death of a prisoner in Western Australia
on Friday.
45 year old IAN FRANK WINMAR collapsed at Albany Regional Prison in the state's south
.. and was pronounced dead after arriving at Albany Regional Hospital.
WINMAR .. who was serving time for violating parole and assaulting a police officer
.. was just five months short of finishing a five year sentence.
He had a history of coronary disease and was due for release in January.
All deaths in custody trigger a coronial inquest in WA.
